FAQ

Ordering & Lead Time

How far in advance should I place my order? To ensure availability and allow time for custom designs, please place your order 1–2 weeks before your event. We may accept rush orders depending on our schedule, but availability isn't guaranteed.

Shipping, Pickup & Delivery

Who is responsible for shipping costs? Customers are responsible for all shipping costs at checkout. Rates are calculated based on package weight, destination, and carrier pricing.

Do you offer local pickup? Yes. Local pickup is available in Chesterfield, VA, at no additional charge. Pickup details will be provided after your order is confirmed.

Do you offer local delivery? Yes. Local delivery is available within the Chesterfield/Richmond area for a $7.00 flat fee.

What if my order arrives damaged during shipping? Once your package is handed to the carrier, they are responsible for handling and delivery. If your box arrives damaged, please take photos immediately and file a claim with the carrier. I'll do what I can, but carriers ultimately control the outcome.

Storage & Care Instructions

How should I store my dipped treats? Storage needs vary depending on the type of treat. Some items must be refrigerated, while others should stay at room temperature.

Chocolate‑Covered Fruit (Grapes, Pineapples, etc.)

  • Store in the refrigerator in a single layer inside an airtight container lined with a paper towel.

  • Shelf life: Best within 24–48 hours. Fruit contains high moisture, which may cause chocolate to soften or separate over time.

Candy Apples

  • Store in a cool, dry room (around 70°F).

  • Do not refrigerate.

  • Shelf life: Best within 2–3 days. Refrigeration causes the coating to “sweat,” making the surface sticky.

Cake Pops

Use the 1‑2‑3 Rule:

  • 1 week at room temperature

  • 2 weeks in the refrigerator

  • 2–3 months in the freezer

Freezing & Thawing:

  • Freeze in a single layer inside an airtight container.

  • To thaw, move the container to the refrigerator for 24 hours, then bring to room temperature while still sealed to prevent condensation.

Chocolate‑Covered Oreos & Rice Krispies Treats

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

  • Shelf life: 3–5 days. Refrigeration may cause condensation that affects the chocolate’s appearance.

Do themed or decorated treats need special care?

Yes. Keep decorated treats away from heat and humidity to preserve their appearance.
